Palak Sidhu, Sunil Kumar

Abstract: Aim: To map and analyse the scientific literature on job satisfaction and organisational climate using bibliometric methods. Design: Utilising the SPAR-4 protocol, a bibliometric analysis and visual analysis were conducted using Scopus and Web of Science databases (2000-2025) Methods: Data were retrieved using SPAR-4, predefined search strings, yielding 652 unique publications. Bibliometric indicators were analysed with Biblioshiny (R) and Microsoft Excel. Results: The study revealed contributions from 2412 authors across 282 sources, highlighting the breadth of scholarly engagement in this domain. A total of 652 documents were published between 2000 and 2025, with an annual growth rate of 8.78%, showing steady progress in the field. The average document age was 8.59 years, and each paper received, on average, 28.51 citations, indicating a notable academic impact. The most productive nation and institution, correspondingly, were the United States and the University of Toronto. The most cited countries are the USA, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands. The Journal of Nursing Management emerges as the leading outlet with 83 publications, followed by Human Resources for Health with 35. Recent trends have gained popularity in topics such as burnout, emotional exhaustion, teamwork, well-being, and organisational citizenship behaviour. The study revealed a strong and quantifiable relationship between Australia and New Zealand, with the highest collaboration index. Implications: The study findings provide a strong basis for future research on job satisfaction and organisational climate in the healthcare field, offering direction for future studies.
